Major Robert T. Hosmon was my dad. Following a career as a manager with the Tennessee Valley Authority, he retired to Venice, Florida. He died July 9,2009 at the age of 96.

Hi Dr. Hosmon:
God Bless your Dad for his service and sorry to hear of his passing. All the men of the 740th are heroes for just surviving at St. Vith. My Dad was William Daniel MacDonald, FO for Btry B, with the 740th from inception to end of war. He passed in 1998 and would have been 100 years old on 4 July 2009.

I came across Roy S. Jenkins (the S may be for Stockton) and I'm wondering if he is related to me. My great uncle Benjamin Stockton Jenkins (1859-1924) had two sons who moved to Chicago: Roy Benjamin Stockton Jenkins born in 1887 and died in 1941 or 1942; and Llewellyn Arthur Jenkins 1889-1951. Roy S. Jenkins is shown as a lieutenant in artillary. Unfortunately, I have no infomation on the family other than both Roy and Llewellyn were lawyers in Chicago. Their father was a Supt of Telegraphy in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Any information would be appreciated.

I regret to report the passing of yet another trooper of Battery "B". My father , Edward McCarthy expired May 16,2011 expired after a brief illness. He always spoke fondly and with respect for the men he served with
in Europe. I hope he will be remembered by his comrades.
Thank you
Joseph McCarthy
